Social Purge ("the app") is published by Embedded Technologies Limited. This policy explains what data the app handles.
Social Purge checks whether specific, well-known social media applications are installed on your device and helps you remove them using Android's standard uninstall dialog. All removals are confirmed by you through the Android system; the app never uninstalls anything by itself.
The app itself collects no personal data. It has no account system, no analytics of its own, and it does not transmit your app list or any usage information to us. The list of detected apps, snooze reminders and settings are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
The app declares a fixed, curated list of social media package names to Android and can only see whether those specific apps are installed. It cannot read your full list of installed applications.
The app shows a banner advertisement served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process data as described in Google's Privacy & Terms, including device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location derived from IP address, and ad-interaction data, for the purposes of serving and measuring ads and preventing fraud.
In the UK, EEA and Switzerland, the app shows a consent screen (Google User Messaging Platform) before any advertising begins, where you can consent, decline, or manage options. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the app's data or reinstalling it, and you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
With your permission, the app posts a local notification if a social media app on its list is reinstalled. These notifications are generated entirely on your device.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a revised date.
